IPL Community philosophy

IPL supports NZ’s Youth through Educating and sharing our passion for Sciences and Environmental initiatives that promote a sustainable future. 

We have recognised that educating and changing behaviours in these spaces won’t happen overnight and that we have a role to play. Our People hold a great deal of knowledge in the science and environmental department and we are committed to getting youth passionate about these too. 

Through our initiatives, we want to empower our People to help nurture this passion of ours. We believe that creating awareness in these spaces with our community of young minds will help us lead the way to a sustainable future. 

IPL’s community focus is on developing initiatives that enable us to:

- Share our passion for Sciences with our Youth so that they can in turn engage and follow through on this passion through their learning curriculum.

- Educate our Youth on Environmental Issues so that we can collectively make small changes in everyday actions/behaviours that will in turn create a better world to live in. 

The words Education, Sciences and Environmental issues will be used to help prioritize the initiatives that we are looking to get involved with alongside Youth. A yearly community initiatives plan will be established by IPL’s Community Team and approved by our LT.
