Long service milestones for IPL

In the past couple of months, two of IPL’s employees have reached massive milestones!

Left to right: Noel Frizelle, Robert Anderson

Noel Frizelle and Robert Anderson (aka Bob) have reached 35 and 40 years of service, respectively, working in the Marsden Point laboratory. Both Noel and Bob started working in the lab, when the laboratory was part of Refining NZ activities. When Refining NZ and BP Oil NZ joined forces to establish Independent Petroleum Laboratory in 1999, they transitioned over and helped shape and grow IPL to what it is now.

To this day, Bob plays a critical role for IPL in managing the close relationship that the lab has with Refining NZ. Fair to say Bob has extensive technical knowledge of petroleum testing and he’s also helped develop many of our younger rising stars too. In recent years, Bob has helped implement and lead our Crude Assay technology and the NIR project.

Currently as our Reliability and Integrity Manager, Noel is our equipment and infrastructure maintenance wizard. Noel’s technical knowledge, versatility, initiative and practical skills have lead him into numerous lead roles in the Laboratory over the years. Noel is our ideas man who can always find  a solution to a problem.

Noel, Bob, we want to acknowledge your dedication to providing excellent testing services, your incredible loyalty and for achieving what is an incredible milestone.

Congratulations Noel of reaching 35 years and Bob on reaching an impressive 40 years of service with IPL/RNZ and thank you for all your hard work.
